১৯৫৯ সালে নরওয়ের পশ্চিম উপকূলে (Norwegian west coast) জন্ম Jon Fosse-এর। ২০২১ সালে সামনে আসে তাঁর সৃষ্টি ‘Septology’- অসামান্য জনপ্রিয়তা পায় তাঁর এই কবিতা। এছাড়াও একাধিক সাহিত্য সৃষ্টি রয়েছে তাঁর। ‘The Other Name’, ‘I is Another’, ‘A New Name’- নোবেলজয়ী লেখকেরই সৃষ্টি। সাহিত্যের বিস্তীর্ণ অংশে জন ফসের পদচারণা। নাটক, উপন্যাস, কবিতা, গদ্যধর্মী লেখা, শিশুসাহিত্য- সবই রয়েছে তাঁর ঝুলিতে।

নোবেল পুরস্কারের অর্থমূল্য (Nobel Prize Amount) ১০ মিলিয়ন সুইডিশ ক্রোনো। ১০ ডিসেম্বর সেটি জয়ীদের হাতে তুলে দেওয়া হবে। নোবেল পুরস্কার শুরু যার হাতে সেই সুইডিশ বিজ্ঞানী আলফ্রেড নোবেলের রেখে যাওয়া অর্থমূল্য থেকেই এই পুরস্কার দেওয়া হয়।
